Images, smells, sounds – as parameters of everyday life
belong to the daily routine and resemble new collages each time.
Mirror well is a work about my neighbourhood: a historical part in the center of Istanbul.
The images that describe my area become moments of the past which I have witnessed every
day in new constellations.
The fugitive images drop shadows of a steadily changing reality upon my perception. In the
context of the ongoing process of gentrification these momentary silhouettes are about to
vanish.
